What’s wrong with teething fever?

  Generally babies start teething at the age of 6 months, in the process of baby teeth eruption, itself will damage the gums, and children usually do not pay attention to, will use some things to grind teeth, these things once not pay attention to clean will easily lead to broken wounds inflammation, thus causing fever situation. The normal body temperature range for babies is 36.9℃~37.5℃, if it exceeds this range, it is considered feverish.  If a baby has a teething fever, parents should pay attention to the following points: (1) If the baby’s body temperature is below 38.5 degrees Celsius, you can not take antipyretic drugs, you only need to take physical cooling, and pay attention to keep the indoor air circulation, temperature and moderate appropriate, and use warm water to help the baby wipe the body, let the baby drink more water, more sweat, more urination, to reduce the body temperature.  (2) If the body temperature is above 38.5 degrees Celsius, you can take antipyretic drugs or plug antipyretic suppositories to lower the temperature, then you should promptly consult a hospital to find out the cause of the fever and clarify whether there is a viral or bacterial infection, and if there is an infection, active antiviral or antibacterial treatment should be carried out according to the laboratory results.  (3) Pay attention to keep the baby’s oral hygiene clean and disinfect the things that the baby usually grinds and chews, such as toys, to prevent reinfection.
