Cardiogenic dyspnoea refers to dyspnoea caused by cardiac insufficiency due to the development of various cardiovascular system diseases. Common diseases include rheumatic heart valve disease, hypertensive heart disease, coronary artery disease, myocarditis heart failure and constrictive pericarditis.
Cardiogenic exertional dyspnoea is characterised by two features.
(a) The more severe the progression of the disease, the more severe the dyspnoea.
The patient’s clinical symptoms are influenced by body position, decreasing when sitting and increasing when lying down.
