Rough, hard foods (puffed and fried foods) and overly hot foods can cause trauma to the mucosa and cause mouth ulcers; eating barbecued, spicy and pickled foods can promote the development of mouth ulcers. Allergic people can be triggered by eating certain special foods such as fish and shrimp.
In addition, some anti-tumour drugs, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, diclofenac sodium, etc.), some antibiotic drugs (metronidazole, tinidazole, cotrimoxazole, ampicillin, cefadroxil, etc.), the anti-tuberculosis drug pyrazinamide, and drugs that inhibit gastric acid secretion such as omeprazole can directly or indirectly induce mouth ulcers.
