Minor gastric ulcers that are not serious, such as those with small diameters or superficial lesions, or those in the healing phase or scarring phase, can be treated conservatively with oral medications in a gastroenterology clinic. In the case of patients with gastric ulcers caused by H. pylori infection, quadruple therapy is given to eradicate H. pylori. The current recommendation is PPI plus bismuth plus two antibiotics, and the course of treatment is 10-14 days. After the end of HP eradication treatment, anti-ulcer therapy needs to be continued, such as PPI drugs for 4-6 weeks and colloidal bismuth for 6-8 weeks, or PPI is replaced with H2 receptor antagonist for 6-8 weeks, combined with colloidal bismuth for 6-8 weeks of treatment. Gastroscopy also needs to be repeated at the end of treatment to clarify that the ulcer has healed.
