How is tuberculosis staged?

There are five subtypes of pulmonary tuberculosis, which are divided into I, II, III, IV and V. 1, Type I pulmonary tuberculosis, also known as primary tuberculosis, is mostly seen in pediatric patients. Type II pulmonary tuberculosis, also known as blood-borne tuberculosis, is divided into acute, subacute and chronic, and the three cases are collectively referred to as cornual tuberculosis, which is easily manifested as generalized hyperthermia and imaging suggests cornual nodules with uneven distribution of density in both lungs. Type III tuberculosis mainly refers to infiltrative tuberculosis, including chronic fibrous cavitary tuberculosis, and is also the most common open pulmonary tuberculosis in clinical practice. 4, Type IV tuberculosis is mainly considered tuberculous pleurisy, which manifests as the formation of pleural effusion. 5, Type V pulmonary tuberculosis, also known as extrapulmonary tuberculosis, includes bone tuberculosis as well as tuberculosis of other sites. The five subtypes of pulmonary tuberculosis, especially type III tuberculosis, are more contagious and require early diagnosis, early detection, early treatment and a course of treatment of six months to more than one year.
