Can tuberculosis be cured?

Historically, tuberculosis has claimed the lives of hundreds of millions of people worldwide, far exceeding the harm brought to mankind by war. More than 70 years have passed, and although generations of anti-TB medical workers have worked hard to reduce the epidemic, we often hear people say that TB has been conquered, that it is not difficult, and that it can be cured. But in reality, TB in China is not “curable” as many people believe. On the contrary, it is still the main disease threatening the health of the country. First of all, if TB is diagnosed early and detected in a timely manner, most patients with primary TB will be clinically cured with the right anti-TB program and regular, adequate and complete treatment. It is important to raise awareness of TB disease, especially whether doctors in general hospitals can check sputum carefully and diagnose and identify it in a timely manner. Secondly, the common reasons for the low cure rate and frequent recurrence of TB patients are: 1. unreasonable medication regimen, insufficient combined medication, and arbitrary dose reduction. 2. Irregular medication, too many missed doses, and poor compliance. 3.Improper handling after the appearance of adverse drug reactions, private drug reduction and discontinuation, resulting in interruption of treatment. 4, combined with other diseases such as diabetes poor control. 5.Do not maintain a good diet, rest, sleep, emotions 6.Tuberculosis bacteria developed drug resistance. 7, did not adhere to the end of the course of treatment, stopping the drug in the middle, resulting in relapse. Once again, once treatment fails or relapses repeatedly and drug-resistant tuberculosis is formed, not only will the course of treatment be doubled, but the cure rate will drop significantly and the cost of treatment will increase hundreds of times. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease transmitted through the respiratory tract (cough, droplets, sputum). For the sake of your own health and social responsibility, please receive treatment in time and strive for a complete cure.
