Clinically there is no such thing as the best antiviral for bronchitis, if it is confirmed that bronchitis is caused by viral infection, it can be treated with antiviral medications, purgative medications, cough and phlegm medications and so on.
1. Antiviral drugs: If influenza virus infection is considered as the cause of acute bronchitis, antiviral drugs, such as oseltamivir phosphate capsule, can be used under the guidance of a doctor for treatment.
2. Heat-clearing and detoxifying drugs: Acute bronchitis can choose heat-clearing and detoxifying Chinese medicines, which also have the effect of anti-viral infection, such as Lianhua Qingdian capsule, cold and fever particles and so on.
3. Cough and phlegm medicines: bronchitis and obvious cough symptoms, need to apply cough and phlegm medicines, such as ambroxol hydrochloride dispersible tablets, dextromethorphan hydrobromide tablets and so on. If there is a combination of bacterial infection, you can use amoxicillin capsules, levofloxacin tablets and other drugs.
Also for special types of bronchitis (e.g. eosinophilic bronchitis) anti-allergy (e.g. loratadine) and glucocorticoid (e.g. budesonide) therapy is needed.
