Purpura is a symptom caused by abnormalities in vascular permeability and platelets. There are fewer contraindications to fruit and various types can generally be eaten normally. However, it is recommended to eat more types with a high vitamin C content as they can help reduce capillary permeability and fragility and promote recovery. Those with high vitamin C content include grapefruit, orange juice, mandarin oranges, apples, lemons, strawberries and kiwis.
