There is no way to detect astigmatism on your own. For the examination of astigmatism, you must go to a regular hospital for an optometric examination, only through this method can you accurately understand whether your eyes have astigmatism and the degree of astigmatism. There are two methods of optometry: the first is subjective optometry, including computerized optometry and photographic optometry. In the case of minors, optometry is usually performed under dilated pupils, which removes the eye’s own adjustment function and thus truly reflects the refractive state of the eye. The second is subjective optometry, which is the lens insertion method, but this method is not used much in clinical practice. The results are not very accurate because it is very much related to the patient’s cooperation.
