Does heat stroke cause fever?

Patients with heat stroke can have feverish symptoms. Heat stroke is very common in summer, especially in high temperature and high humidity environments, where heat stroke can occur due to impaired thermoregulatory centers, and patients often have feverish symptoms, with increased heat production in hot environments. If the environment is poorly ventilated or if the patient’s sweat glands are dysfunctional, it is easy to cause the body to dissipate less heat, which can cause an increase in body temperature. In addition to fever, patients with heat stroke also experience headache, dizziness, and thirst. If left untreated, severe heat stroke can easily occur, resulting in heat exhaustion, heat cramps and pyrexia, with a very high mortality rate. Therefore, if heat stroke occurs in summer, timely treatment should be provided to avoid serious complications.
