Why did a broken wrist create a frozen shoulder?

Recently, I met several people with Colle’s fracture and frozen shoulder in clinic. No matter what kind of fracture, if it’s a manual reset, it will basically be fixed in a cast, and after fixation, most orthopedic surgeons will give a triangular scarf suspension. In this way, the orthopedic emergency treatment is perfectly over. However, the orthopedic surgeon often forgets to say DD “you must move your shoulder and elbow joint every day during the cast fixation”. Because of this phrase, some patients find that they cannot move not only the wrist joint but also the shoulder joint after the cast is removed. This is a real pity, because it is really avoidable. So, how do you move it? The answer is simple: move as much as you can and as much as you like. The first step is to remove the psychological barriers. The orthopedic surgeon has already fixed the place that needs to be fixed, and you have to believe that the place that is not fixed is fine to move. If you are really afraid, you can use the side that is not injured to help, dragging the cast upward to raise your hand. Or hold the table and bend down and do a pendulum movement.
