Two easy misconceptions about IVF technology

In clinical treatment, we often find that people are prone to two misconceptions about IVF technology: First, IVF is not the biological child of the couple. Some people need to do IVF, but they are not willing to undergo such treatment, and only after repeated questioning do they say: “IVF is not my biological child, so why should I spend money to go through this suffering! Here, I would like to tell you that unless you are a “sperm donor” or “egg donor” IVF baby, you are definitely the biological child of your own couple, and the wife had her eggs retrieved after the super ovulation treatment. The husband also took the semen on the same day that the wife took her eggs. Since the semen and eggs came from the couple, the child must be the couple’s own. Second, “IVF babies” are raised outside the mother’s body, i.e. in a test tube. In previous years, this question was often asked. Once a couple, after deciding to undergo IVF treatment, asked me, “When are we going to have the baby? In fact, “IVF” is a common name, but it actually means that the sperm and egg are fertilized outside the body to form a fertilized egg, which is cultured outside the body for 48-72 hours to form an embryo and then transferred back to the mother’s uterus, where it lays and continues to develop into a fetus until delivery. Therefore, “IVF” is not grown in a test tube!
