The Five Tumors, also known as the Tumor Marker Test, includes Carcinoembryonic Antigen CEA, Glyco Antigen 125, Glyco Antigen 153, Glyco Antigen 724, and Glyco Antigen 199. The different tumor markers are located in different places, and the cancers that can be diagnosed are not the same. In general, stomach cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, liver cancer, etc. can be diagnosed.
1. Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA): the specificity is not particularly strong, but the elevation of this index can indicate lung cancer, stomach cancer and other digestive tract tumors.
2. Glycoantigen 125: it can indicate ovarian cancer, lung adenocarcinoma and malignant ascites.
3. Glycoantigen 153: can indicate breast cancer, prostate cancer and other malignant tumors.
4. Glycoantigen 724: elevation of this index can indicate gastric cancer, intestinal cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer and other gastrointestinal tumors.
5. Glycoantigen 199: patients with pancreatitis can have elevated levels of this indicator, and gastric cancer, intestinal cancer and other digestive tract tumors can also be detected.
If one of the five tumor markers is elevated, further pathological biopsy should be done to clarify which kind of cancer and the specific stage of cancer.
