Urticaria is generally not inherited to the next generation, but some special types of urticaria have a genetic predisposition. Urticaria is a skin disease whose specific etiology and pathogenesis are not clear, and may be related to factors such as infection, allergy or physical friction irritation. Genetic factors are not clear, but a few types of urticaria, such as familial cold urticaria, may be passed on to the next generation. There are also some rare cases presenting as recurrent angioedema without wind puffs, which may be related to C1 esterase inhibitor defects, as hereditary angioedema, which may also happen to be inherited to the next generation. It is recommended to seek timely medical treatment for urticaria and standardize the treatment.
