How to apply the “Dumbbell Exercise Method” to treat frozen shoulder? 1. The patient stands in a standing position and holds a dumbbell (or something heavy) on the affected side (weight about 0.5-2 kg, so as not to hinder the movement of the upper limb). The patient should perform forward, backward, inward and outward movements of the affected upper limb to relieve the shoulder adhesions. The above movements are performed alternately for 5-10 minutes each time, 2-3 times a day. 2. The patient holds one dumbbell in each hand (same weight as above). Hold the dumbbells with both hands flat to both sides of the body, maintain for 3-5 seconds and then return to the original position, repeat 10-20 times. Then do the front planks with dumbbells in both hands, maintain for 3-5 seconds and return to the original position, and do 10-20 times repeatedly. 3. The patient is lying on his back, holding dumbbells with both hands up, with both elbows straight and perpendicular to the bed. Slowly separate both upper limbs to both sides of the body, tilt about 45 degrees, maintain for 5-10 seconds and then return to the original position, and do 10-20 times repeatedly. 4, the patient prone position, the affected side of the upper limbs holding dumbbells hanging down on both sides of the bed, elbow joints straight. The patient slowly abducts the dumbbell-holding upper limb so that the affected upper limb is flush with the bed surface, maintain 3-5 seconds and then return to the original position, and do 10-20 times repeatedly.
