Pituitary ependymoma – visual field, pituitary function and pituitary enhancement MR: 1, secretory type; 2, non-functional type.
Secretory type: 1. Prolactin type – oral “bromocriptine” treatment; 2. Other hormone types – surgery.
Non-functional: 1, greater than 1.5 cm – surgery; 2, less than 1.0 cm – interval 0.5,1,2,5 years, MR follow-up: a, no change in the lesion, then continue to observe; b, lesion increase, then surgery; 3, between 1.0-1.5 cm: a, optic nerve compression – surgery; b, normal visual field – interval 0.5,1,2,5 years, MR follow-up: a, no change in the lesion, then continue to observe; b, lesion increase, then surgery. change, then continue observation; b, lesion enlargement, then surgical treatment.
