Does new coronary pneumonia cause recurrent fevers?

Infection with novel coronavirus pneumonia may result in recurrent fever. The main clinical manifestations of novel coronavirus pneumonia are fever, malaise, and dry cough. However, each patient’s condition varies, and some patients may have a persistent fever that progresses toward a high body temperature to a high fever that does not go away. Some patients may present with recurrent fever after symptomatic management. There is no clear and effective treatment for pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus, but symptomatic supportive treatment with oxygen, intravenous application of gammaglobulin, adrenocorticotropic hormone, antiviral drugs, and antibiotics if necessary can be used. Anti-microbial drugs are given to severe and critically ill patients to improve the symptoms of fever.
