Patients with low platelets and a tendency to bleed may develop eyelid bruising.
However, the coagulation function of the whole body is low when the platelets are low, and the common bleeding sites are the gums and nasal cavity, and bleeding from the eyelids is rare. Therefore, further tests should be done to clarify the cause of low platelets along with petechial hemorrhage in the eyes to see if there are other triggers, such as hypertension.
