You should not wear contacts for stasis in the eye.
There is a condition of stasis in the white eye called subconjunctival hemorrhage, and corneal contact lenses are one of the main causative factors for subconjunctival hemorrhage in young women under the age of 40. Bleeding is caused by the squeezing and pulling of the blood vessels between the edge of the contact lens and the bulbar conjunctiva. Also, frequent contact lens wear can lead to dry eyes or conjunctival infections, which can also lead to bleeding. Patients with stasis of blood in their glasses are advised to rest and identify the cause.
Appropriate hot compresses can be applied after 48 hours of bleeding to promote absorption of the stasis.
