Can you eat eggs with fractures?

You can eat eggs after a fracture because they are high protein foods that help the healing and recovery of the fracture, and you can eat other foods with high protein content in addition to eggs. Patients with fractures, especially the elderly, may also have hypoproteinemia, so they need to eat eggs, milk and other high-protein foods to replenish protein. Therefore, milk, lean meat, soy products, including tofu and soy milk may be better. Eggs and these protein foods should be eaten in small portions and not too much at a time, otherwise they may cause constipation. Because of the reduced activity during bed rest, the gastrointestinal tract peristalsis becomes slower, it is better to eat more egg whites and less egg yolks, because eating more egg yolks may lead to hypercholesterolemia.
