What is mastodynia?

Mastocytosis is the most common type of patient seen in outpatient clinics. Different patients have different symptoms, and different doctors have different ways of talking about it. The same diagnosis of breast enlargement, some say it is a normal phenomenon, women will have this disease, while others tell you to be careful, it may turn into cancer. Treatment is also varied, taking Chinese medicine, massage, selenium supplementation, ancestral recipes, changing your mindset, regulating your diet, exercising to lose weight, insisting on breastfeeding and so on, right and wrong, confusing and feeling very confused. In fact, there are still many unresolved issues regarding the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of mastocytosis, such as: 1. The etiology and pathogenesis are not yet clear. It is generally believed that the disease is related to the imbalance of female hormonal balance leading to disorders in the process of breast enlargement and rejuvenation, but there is a lack of large-scale epidemiological surveys on the changes in female hormones; its relationship with birth control, childbirth, lactation and mastopexy is also unclear; 2. The clinical diagnostic criteria are unclear. Clinically, a group of syndromes mainly consisting of breast pain, increased breast tension, restricted breast thickening and nodules are often referred to as mastocytosis. However, the age range of women with the same symptoms is very large, and it is not clear whether there are differences in the causes and characteristics of the onset in different age groups; 3. There are various histomorphological changes associated with the disease in the pathology, and the correspondence between clinical symptoms and signs and these histomorphological changes is not clear; 4. There are many treatment methods for the disease, but there is no clear treatment guideline and cure standard, and there is no consensus on the treatment method and efficacy. There is a lack of consensus on treatment methods and efficacy. There are clinical cases of both insufficient attention and over-treatment. Therefore, when you are diagnosed with “breast hyperplasia”, you need to understand the following points: 1, the mammogram is mainly to understand whether there are abnormal lumps and calcifications in the breast, if the ultrasound, mammogram checklist conclusion is only the words “breast hyperplasia”, then congratulations. There are no abnormal findings in this examination. 2. After being diagnosed with “breast enlargement” most people are worried about whether it will become cancerous in the future. In fact, the mammary gland hyperplasia diagnosed by ultrasound and mammogram alone cannot be associated with whether it will become cancerous or not. Only when the surgical pathology is moderate to severe atypical hyperplasia of the ductal epithelium of the breast, there is a possibility of cancer, and the chance is not more than 5%. 3.Many women are very worried about breast pain and immediately think they have cancer, so they will seek medical consultation immediately. Many women who are diagnosed with breast enlargement hope to prevent breast cancer by taking medication, but unfortunately there is no medication that can prevent breast cancer so far. 5. If there is no obvious pain in breast enlargement, treatment is usually not needed and regular medical checkups are sufficient. For patients with obvious breast pain, they can choose to take appropriate Chinese medicine to relieve the pain, in addition to changing their living habits and adjusting their emotions will also play a role. 6, generally not recommended to do breast health massage, because there is no basis.
