Thyroid cancer is the most common type of thyroid malignancy, accounting for 1% of all malignant tumors in the body. It is divided into four major types: papillary carcinoma, follicular carcinoma of the thyroid, medullary carcinoma of the thyroid, and undifferentiated carcinoma of the thyroid. The most common clinical manifestations of thyroid cancer are mainly as follows: i. Small and hard thyroid nodules. In pediatric patients, more than 50% of small and hard thyroid nodules are cancerous. Second, tumor nodules are solid in nature, with uneven surface and restricted movement. When the tumor is large, it can appear as cystic nodules and calcification is seen on X-ray. When the tumor grows rapidly, it can show symptoms of compression, such as difficulty in breathing, difficulty in swallowing, hoarseness, etc. 4. When the tumor has metastasis in the middle and lower neck lymph nodes, it can show metastasis in the middle and lower neck lymph nodes, causing enlarged lymph nodes, and many patients take this as the first symptom.
