Clinically, cancers that may cause back pain include esophageal cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, gallbladder cancer, liver cancer, kidney cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, etc., but not limited to these 8 types. 1. Esophageal cancer: If patients have continuous back pain, it means that the cancer has invaded extraesophageal tissues, which is mostly middle and late stage esophageal cancer, and the typical symptoms include progressive dysphagia, patients gradually lose weight, dehydration and general weakness. 2. Lung cancer: If If central nervous system metastasis occurs, back pain, lower limb weakness and abnormal sensation may appear after compressing the spinal cord bundle, which may be accompanied by loss of bladder or bowel function, and there may be spinal or intraspinal metastasis of lung cancer. This can cause strong and persistent back pain and abdominal pain; 4. Other cancers: including liver cancer, gallbladder cancer, kidney cancer, adrenal cortical cancer, cardia cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, etc. Back pain can be directly caused by spinal, thoracic or abdominal organ lesions, or it can be caused by cancer cells spreading to occur in vertebral body, intravertebral canal, retroperitoneal metastasis, etc. Therefore, careful examination is needed to exclude chronic soft tissue injury, degenerative spinal lesions, inflammatory diseases and common diseases such as angina pectoris before suspecting cancer as the cause.
