Will earlobe enlargement grow bigger and bigger

There are many reasons for earlobe enlargement, and whether or not it will grow larger depends on the individual case. If a patient has had their ears pierced and a growth has developed near the piercing, a keloid may have formed and there is a possibility that it will grow larger. When the keloid is small, the patient can have local injections of medication to inhibit the growth of the keloid. In addition, earlobe hyperplasia is likely to be a sebaceous cyst in the earlobe. Due to the obstruction of the ducts of the sebaceous glands in the earlobe, the epithelial cells shed in the ducts of the sebaceous glands accumulate and gradually increase in size and retention, resulting in the formation of a cystic benign swelling. In this case, if the patient does not touch and stimulate the earlobe with his hands frequently, the earlobe enlargement usually does not grow larger and larger. In conclusion, if a patient has hyperplasia in the earlobe, it is recommended that he or she should not be overly nervous and should go to the ENT department of a hospital to get a clear picture of the cause and then take targeted treatment.
