Frozen shoulder or cervical spondylosis

The diagnosis of frozen shoulder is actually not very accurate, but it is easier for the people to understand and accept, so we call the discomfort around the shoulder collectively as frozen shoulder. Cervical spondylosis is a series of discomfort symptoms caused by degeneration of the cervical spine, including nerve compression symptoms collectively known as cervical spondylosis. Both frozen shoulder and cervical spondylosis have the highest incidence in middle-aged and elderly people, and both have clear symptoms of shoulder pain. Some patients delay treatment due to lack of awareness or choosing the wrong treatment method. Pain range Shoulder and below to the upper arm, does not involve the neck and shoulder and forearm. It is more likely to occur at the lateral edge of the deltoid, at the interbiceps groove, and at the posterior edge of the scapular gland. Nocturnal pain may be present, but relief is not obvious when lying down. Pain may be present in the neck and shoulder and down to the fingers, preferably at the midpoint of the medial border of the scapula, neck and shoulder, distal upper arm, forearm and finger numbness. Radicular pain, which is related to body position, is relieved by lying down. Range of motion Unrestricted neck motion, restricted shoulder motion, limited supination and backward motion of upper extremity. Restricted neck movement, normal shoulder joint movement. Muscle atrophy Muscle atrophy around the shoulder only Muscle atrophy of the entire upper limb is possible, mainly in the hand. X-rays Shoulder joints are mostly normal Cervical spine mostly has abnormal alignment and physiological curvature, osteophytes and other degenerative lesions
