Astigmatism can certainly be corrected with glasses. For mild astigmatism, if there are no clinical symptoms such as visual fatigue, squinting, tilted head and neck, and amblyopia, glasses are not needed for correction. If there are symptoms, astigmatism needs to be corrected with glasses. For preschool children with regular astigmatism, they generally need adequate correction of astigmatism with cylindrical lenses for optical correction so as to help visual development and prevent amblyopia. For mild irregular astigmatism, rigid therapeutic corneal contact lenses can also be worn. When wearing corneal contact lenses, attention needs to be paid to the position in which they are worn. For patients with significant irregular astigmatism and astigmatism who do not want to wear lenses, excimer laser surgery can be performed to correct the astigmatism.
