ICL (intraocular lens implantation) is a high-precision procedure that has been used in clinical practice since the 1950s. ICL (intraocular lens implantation) is a procedure in which an artificial lens is implanted in the anterior chamber (or posterior chamber, as the case may be) of the patient’s crystalline eye in order to maintain the natural adjustment of the lens. The advantage is that it is safe, predictable and reversible. The procedure involves implanting an IOL into the eye through a tiny incision to correct vision. The implanted IOL can be fixed in the anterior chamber angle (between the cornea and iris), or on the iris or between the iris and the lens in the eye, preserving the natural adjustment function of the lens and effectively compensating for the inability of excimer laser surgery to effectively correct super high myopia, with stable refraction and no regression. The optical quality and technological content of the IOL is very high, with very little damage to the eye tissue and high precision, so that you can recover your visual function and work and study normally soon after surgery. Also, ICL (Intraocular Lens Implantation) surgery can be repeated and the IOL can be replaced to meet different needs. ICL (Intraocular Lens Implantation) is an alternative to replace LASIK, PRK and other cutting procedures for refractive correction because excimer laser is generally not suitable for highly myopic patients because once the cornea is removed too much in highly myopic patients, it will not be able to withstand the pressure inside the eye resulting in blindness. ICL IOL implantation only requires a small 3 mm diameter incision in the eye, and a special IOL is injected into the eye like an injection, which is safe and has good corrective effect. 400-2500 degrees of myopia or 200-1000 degrees of farsightedness, as long as the patient is 20 years old or older, and the refractive status is stable and not suitable for LASIK surgery, and the patient meets the conditions for the surgery through preoperative examination. ICL surgery can be performed on patients who are 20 years of age or older and whose refractive status is stable enough for LASIK surgery. Because ICL can treat up to 2000 degrees of high myopia and has many advantages, and the procedure is delicate and responsible, the cost of treatment is higher.
