Does a cold cause pain in the chest muscles?

Colds do not directly cause muscle pain in the chest. Colds usually cause muscle pain or swelling in the lumbar region, neck and shoulders, and gastrocnemius muscles, and pneumonia after a cold can cause chest pain, but not muscle pain.
