Statins can cause muscle pain. Glucocorticoids and non-steroidal antipyretic anti-inflammatory drugs can treat muscle pain, but glucocorticoids, statins, non-steroidal antipyretic anti-inflammatory drugs and drugs such as hydroxychloroquine can cause drug-induced myopathy to the extent that they produce symptoms of muscle pain, which can resolve on their own after a period of discontinuation.
