Moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma is malignant, once cancer is malignant, there is no such thing as benign. According to the degree of differentiation of tissue cells, it is divided into hypofractionated, moderately differentiated and highly differentiated, and there is another kind called undifferentiated. Generally, the higher the degree of differentiation, the lower the possible malignancy. Intermediate differentiation is between highly differentiated and poorly differentiated, and the possible malignancy is in the middle. It also depends on the size of the tumor and its location, or there is a chance of surgical treatment. For example, for a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the stomach, a radical total gastrectomy with lymph node dissection and digestive tract reconstruction can be done, and postoperative treatment with adjuvant chemotherapy and targeted drugs. No recurrence for more than 5 years is considered as clinical cure, but this is definitely a malignant tumor and cannot be benign.
