Can early stage lung cancer be cured?

Early stage lung adenocarcinoma has a chance of cure. For relatively early stage lung adenocarcinoma (stage IA, IB, IIA, IIB, IIIA), complete resection of the cancer, adjacent tissues and local metastatic lymph nodes through surgery, together with chemotherapy and other comprehensive treatments, theoretically all have a chance of radical cure. Especially for stage IA lung cancer, the lung cancer lesions are small and there is no metastasis of lymph nodes, so it is more effective to obtain radical cure through surgical resection. At present, it is believed that patients with stage IA lung cancer after surgical resection can even be treated without postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. The probability of obtaining radical cure for advanced lung adenocarcinoma is very small, and thus early diagnosis and treatment are necessary to cure lung cancer.
