Leg taping does not correct XO-leg deformity, either physiologically or pathologically. Once the deformity is formed, it means that the bony and ligamentous tissues have basically maintained the balance, and there is no way to correct the direction of bone growth or to loosen one of the ligaments even after leg binding. Physiological X/O leg can be corrected by itself with growth and development, while pathological X/O leg deformity can be completely corrected only through systematic surgical treatment. Therefore, if the X/O leg cannot be corrected by leg binding, it must be seen by an experienced orthopedic surgeon.
