Is bronchoscopy not recommended for tuberculosis?

Tuberculosis can be examined and treated with bronchoscopy, but the use of bronchoscopy is not recommended as a method of confirming the diagnosis. Tracheoscopy can be used as a treatment for tuberculosis, and it is recommended for tuberculosis if endobronchial tuberculosis is present. If bronchoscopy can be performed purely to diagnose whether tuberculosis is present, other safer tests can be used, such as sputum bacterial culture, tuberculin test, CT and other imaging tests. 1. Bacterial culture of sputum: the observation of antacid-staining positive bacilli can indicate the presence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, which can confirm the diagnosis of tuberculosis infection in the patient. 2. CT: It shows the characteristics of active tuberculosis and can be used as an auxiliary examination for sputum bacterial culture and tuberculin test. 3. Tuberculin test: it is a method to diagnose tuberculosis infection and can be used for primary diagnosis of tuberculosis, but whether it is infected or not needs to be combined with sputum bacterial culture and CT examination to make a comprehensive judgment. If the patient has cough, fever and other clinical symptoms, suspected of tuberculosis, should go to the hospital in time for examination, under the guidance of the doctor for treatment, do not use drugs without authorization, so as not to cause adverse consequences.
