Laparoscopic adrenal adenomectomy – cortisolism

  Patient Female 43 years old was admitted to the hospital with facial swelling for 1 year. Examination revealed that the patient had significantly increased subcutaneous fat on the face, neck, back, chest and abdomen, with a full moon face and buffalo back, thin skin with wide purple lines, osteoporosis complicated by toe fracture, blood pressure up to 180/100, hypokalemia, CT and systemic endocrine examination were performed and the diagnosis was 1. adrenal adenoma (left) 2. cortisolism.  Laparoscopic adrenal tumor: angry vessels on the surface of the tumor were visible The patient’s adrenal tumor was removed with laparoscopy After adrenal tumor resection Intraoperative bleeding was about 20 ml, the patient’s blood potassium returned to normal one week after surgery, hypertension improved significantly at about 140/90 mmHg, and the patient was followed up with full moon face, buffalo back and thin skin, and osteoporosis improved significantly.  Laparoscopic surgery is the method of choice for the treatment of adrenal tumors.
