The sciatic nerve can cause soreness in the legs and feet. The sciatic nerve initiates from the sacral plexus, enters the pelvis first, goes down through the pear-shaped muscle, distributes in the buttocks, goes down the back of the thigh, reaches the upper part of the popliteal fossa as the common peroneal and tibial nerves, and then goes to the dorsum of the foot.
When the sciatic nerve is diseased, the symptoms of numbness and soreness in the legs and feet can occur.
