It is recommended to use medicinal cosmetics. Medicinal cosmetics refer to a new product category that has both cosmetic features and topical drug features. Although cosmeceuticals are widely available in the international market, there is no unified understanding and description of this type of product in the global cosmetic field, and the relevant regulatory system is not unified, and there is no clear definition and standard for “cosmeceuticals” in China. Kligman first proposed the concept of cosmeceuticals in the 1970s, and published an article in 2005, pointing out that cosmeceuticals can also be called functional cosmetics or active cosmetics. Pharmacologic products have the following characteristics: ①Pharmacologic activity: the natural ingredients contained in them have certain auxiliary therapeutic effects on skin diseases. (ii) Targeted: able to select active ingredients for formulations designed to address the mechanisms of occurrence of different skin problems. ③Safety: the formulations are precise and do not contain substances that damage the skin or cause skin allergies, such as pigments, fragrances, preservatives and surfactants, etc. The various raw materials are strictly screened and the active ingredients and safety are verified by clinical trials. ④Professionalism: The formula is designed according to different skin types and mechanisms of occurrence of sensitive skin and is mainly sold in pharmacies. Lupus patients need to pay special attention to the use of sunscreen due to photosensitivity. Physical sunscreens are recommended because they use UV blockers, which are less burdensome to the skin and can be simply removed using ordinary cleansing products. In addition to the SPF defense against UVB, UVA, which can enter the deeper layers of the skin, is also the focus of protection, so you should choose a product with both SPF+PA. It is not recommended to use makeup for lupus patients during the active period, but if you need to use it when the disease is stable, it is also recommended to use makeup from pharmaceutical brands. In conclusion, lupus patients with sensitive skin should take special care and choose the appropriate type of skin care products according to the season. It is recommended to use pharmaceutical products with precise ingredients and accurate formulations that do not contain substances that cause skin allergies, and to avoid applying color cosmetics during the active phase of the disease.
