It is possible to have intercourse after pituitary tumor surgery. More than 95% of pituitary tumors are benign, and the main harm caused is vision loss. If it is abnormal growth hormone it tends to cause hypertrophy of hands and feet and rough skin. If it affects adrenocorticotropic hormone secretion, it will easily cause full moon face and buffalo back, etc. It will also affect diabetes and hypertension. Only a small percentage of patients, due to increased prolactin will cause changes in gonadal levels, most notably manifesting as menopause and infertility in women, and very few male patients will experience decreased libido. All of these conditions will be relieved after the surgery and will have no effect on intercourse. If some male patients have their gonadal levels affected after surgery and experience impotence and other symptoms, they may need to be treated with medication at the relevant reproductive medicine department.
