Fracture dressing generally how many days

The fracture dressing usually takes 2-3 weeks, depending on the age and the degree of pain and swelling of the fracture. For younger children, the dressing is usually applied for one week, and for older adults, the dressing is applied for three weeks or longer. Depending on the degree of swelling, if the fracture site is continuously swollen, the dressing time can be extended to four weeks, or even 5-6 weeks. If the swelling and pain have resolved 1-2 weeks after the dressing, no further dressing is needed. If the fracture is delayed or does not heal, it will take up to two months or even three months for the fracture to heal with the application of bone marrow.
