Do I need to take hormones for life for interstitial pneumonia? Can I stop taking them?

The answer to this question is no, there is no need for lifelong hormone therapy, but it must be clear that interstitial pneumonia here refers to idiopathic, which I have emphasized many times, as I said earlier, among the multiple types of idiopathic interstitial pneumonia, the only common type that is recognized and has definite efficacy and requires relatively long-term hormone therapy is organic pneumonia, while others that require hormone therapy are extremely rare and extremely rare. The diagnosis is difficult to establish in most hospitals. Most patients with organic pneumonia can be taken off hormones, with only a very few requiring small doses for long-term maintenance. In the case of secondary interstitial pneumonia, it is a different story, depending on the primary disease, and in the case of immune disease, long-term use or even lifelong use is required.
