How to diagnose tuberculosis and lung cancer

Tuberculosis depends on sputum culture, and lung cancer diagnosis depends on pathology.

Tuberculosis: there is a history of closer contact with tuberculosis, patients may have afternoon hot flashes, malaise, night sweats, chest X-ray may suggest single or multiple calcified foci in the lung, positive tuberculin test (PPD test), the gold standard or sputum culture, as long as the culture of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the diagnosis can be confirmed.

Lung cancer: cough, blood sputum is lighter than tuberculosis, less febrile, late stage may have wasting, cachexia and extra-pulmonary symptoms. ct may suggest obvious occupying lung lesions or with enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes in the hilum, puncture, fibrinoscopy, thoracoscopic biopsy, pathological diagnosis is the gold standard.
