Can chronic pharyngitis be cured?

The treatment of chronic pharyngitis is a very problematic issue. On the one hand, pharyngitis as a chronic inflammatory disease can indeed be cured; on the other hand, many patients can be seen in the clinic, and there are indeed many people with pharyngitis for a long time, or recurrent attacks. The common symptoms of chronic pharyngitis are: foreign body sensation in the throat, dryness, pain, itchy throat, phlegm (but unlike the symptoms of pneumonia and bronchitis, phlegm is not produced by deep coughing, but by the action of “coughing and clearing the throat”) (The phlegm is usually thick or thin mucus-like secretions, but rarely purulent secretions). In order to treat chronic pharyngitis, you must first diagnose whether it is chronic pharyngitis. You should go to the hospital to rule out some other diseases. The actual fact is that you will be able to find out if there are other causes of chronic pharyngitis, such as chronic tonsillitis, chronic sinusitis, and even periodontal disease can cause chronic pharyngitis, and if you do not treat these diseases, then the results are naturally bad. The chronic pharyngitis treatment of Western medicine is not too good, I personally do not advocate taking antibiotics in the chronic period, the effect is not good, and there is a suspicion of antibiotic abuse. I often tell patients that chronic pharyngitis depends on treatment in three parts and nourishment in seven parts. The main reason for this is to maintain the throat. Specifically, smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited, and eating should be avoided, not to mention spicy and stimulating, like lamb and seafood, these irritating foods should also be eaten sparingly. Deep-fried, fried dried fruits, salty food, chocolate and other too sweet food should be eaten less or not. Also be sure to talk less, excessive use of the voice is one of the common causes of pharyngitis. You should also regulate your emotions, avoid being angry and depressed, and have a regular lifestyle to avoid staying up late and overworking. Prevent colds. By doing all of the above, the efficacy of chronic pharyngitis can be further improved, but there are many factors beyond our control, such as environmental pollution in big cities that we cannot avoid in our personal capacity. Therefore, it is not easy to cure pharyngitis, but through our efforts to make pharyngitis less frequent and reduce the symptoms, we will have achieved the purpose of treatment.
