What medication is used for nebulization for cough

There are many types of medications used in nebulization to treat cough, and the more common ones are bronchodilators and phlegmolytic drugs. Bronchodilators can effectively dilate the bronchial tubes and relieve the symptoms of coughing, and are more commonly used as salbutamol or terbutaline sulfate. These two drugs can be nebulized after dilution with saline and are effective in treating cough. If the amount of phlegm is large, you can also use phlegm-suppressing drugs for treatment, such as nebulized inhalation of aminoglutethimide hydrochloride for phlegm-suppressing treatment, which is still effective in diluting phlegm and promoting the discharge of phlegm. In the case of asthma or allergic cough, nebulized inhalation of glucocorticoids is also needed to effectively reduce the local inflammatory response, which is particularly effective in treating cough. In case of severe infections, nebulization with glucocorticoids is generally not recommended, as it may aggravate the symptoms of the infection and is not very beneficial for the treatment of cough.
