Currently, the fastest new coronavirus nucleic acid test uses a fluorescent PCR method that takes only 30 minutes to produce results, which is now faster than when the outbreak first started. Shorter testing times can better avoid outbreak transmission. The method was approved by the State Drug Administration on January 28, 2020, and can be put into use. However, due to the large number of infected people in this outbreak while resources are limited, it is not recommended that suspected patients without obvious symptoms go to hospitals for testing and can be isolated and observed at home. One is to save resources, so that people who really need to be tested can be tested, in addition can avoid cross-infection in the hospital.
