Esophageal stent precautions

  On the morning of the day of esophageal stent treatment, fasting, ALT (transaminase), HBsAg (hepatitis B), HCV (hepatitis C), HIV (AIDS) four blood test results, toilet paper.  After the esophageal stent, warm liquid food, semi-liquid food and soft food can be eaten gradually according to the situation. No food that is too cold or too hard can be eaten after the stent is placed to avoid the stent from shifting or falling off.  After stent placement, local pain, foreign body sensation and other uncomfortable symptoms may occur, which are normal and do not require special treatment; if the pain is severe, seek medical attention or take pain medication. If symptoms such as dizziness, cold sweat or bleeding occur, please seek medical attention promptly. If stent dislodgement occurs, please observe whether there is any foreign body discharge in the stool within one week (Note: diarrhea medicine is prohibited).
