Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common clinical arrhythmias, with a prevalence of about 0.8% in China, and the prevalence increases with age, with a prevalence of 7.5% in people over 80 years of age. The incidence of atrial fibrillation has increased dramatically worldwide due to an aging population, chronic heart disease and other factors, and China is the worst hit by atrial fibrillation strokes. The current effective treatment is transcatheter ablation for AF. The SoundStar intra-cardiac ultrasound catheter can effectively visualize the anatomy of the left atrium and pulmonary veins, which greatly reduces the risk of injury from X-rays and contrast agents. In addition, intra-cardiac ultrasound can assist with septal puncture, precise positioning of the lasso catheter in the pulmonary vein port, titration of energy delivery, and monitoring of ablation complications, significantly improving the success and safety of the procedure. Currently, intra-cardiac 3D ultrasound technology is widely used in large medical centers in the United States, the European Union, and Japan for the interventional treatment of various complex arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation. We have reason to believe that with the popularization of intra-cardiac 3D ultrasound technology in China, it will provide new and strong support for the interventional treatment of atrial fibrillation and other complex arrhythmias and complex cardiac anatomy cardiovascular diseases in China.
