Is a ruptured corpus luteum life-threatening?

“The corpus luteum, which originates from the “blood body”, contains small blood vessels which, if ruptured, cause abdominal pain and intra-abdominal bleeding (note: not the external bleeding visible from the vagina).
If there is little bleeding, the body has a self-coagulation mechanism and the abdominal pain and bleeding will stop after rest and observation and heal naturally.
If there is a lot of bleeding, it can cause shock at the same time as the abdominal pain, which can be life-threatening.”
