The majority of kidney tumors are malignant, and the common ones are renal cancer, renal pelvis cancer, and nephroblastoma. Benign tumors include renal malignant tumors, but they account for less than 5% of all renal tumors. Kidney cancer accounts for 80%-90% of all malignant tumors of the kidney, and its etiology is unknown. The development of kidney cancer is related to genetics, smoking, obesity, hypertension and anti-hypertensive treatment. According to the clinical data of 1975 first diagnosed kidney cancer patients from 23 medical centers in China, the incidence ratio of men to women is 2.1:1, the minimum age of the disease is 2 years old, the maximum age is 93 years old, the average age is 54.54 years old, and the high incidence age is 41-70 years old. The most important means to cure tumor is “three early”, i.e. early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment. Like other tumors in the body, kidney tumors can be cured by the “three early stages”. In a study, patients were classified into three groups: low risk, intermediate risk and high risk according to clinical stage, pathological grading and physical status score of kidney cancer, and the 5-year survival rate (i.e. survival rate after 5 years of treatment) was 90%, 62% and 42% respectively. Then how to achieve early detection? First of all, we should be familiar with the common symptoms of kidney cancer. Hematuria, back pain and abdominal mass are called the “triad of kidney cancer”, but their clinical occurrence rate is less than 15%, and these patients are often diagnosed at an advanced stage, and most of them do not show the typical triad of symptoms. Asymptomatic kidney cancer has reached more than 50% of the patients seen. 10-40% of patients have “paraneoplastic syndrome”, which is characterized by hypertension (incidence 12.7%), anemia (incidence 12.8%), wasting (incidence 11.8%), abnormal kidney function (incidence 9.1%), abnormal liver function (incidence 7.5%), and abnormal liver function (incidence 7.5%). The incidence of kidney cancer symptoms is complex and varied. It can be seen that the symptoms of kidney cancer are complex and changeable, and lack of specificity. Any of the above symptoms should be taken seriously enough to seek medical consultation in time, and doctors will choose appropriate imaging and laboratory tests according to different situations to determine the diagnosis and formulate treatment plans as soon as possible. Familiar with the characteristics of kidney cancer, we know that more than half of kidney cancer patients are asymptomatic at the time of consultation, and these patients are mainly found through physical examination. Ultrasound examination during physical examination is an important method to detect kidney diseases, and if a solid occupancy (mass) of kidney is found by ultrasound during physical examination, the possibility of kidney cancer should be highly suspected, and sufficient attention should be paid to it, and further CT plain and enhanced scans can be done to make correct diagnosis. It is our mission to “devote ourselves to three early stages for the benefit of the Central Plains”, and it is our fundamental task to combine prevention and treatment, hoping that more patients will be prevented and cured.
