There is no such thing as the top 10 characteristics of Asperger’s Syndrome; people with Asperger’s Syndrome experience symptoms such as impaired social interaction and communication, narrow interests, and stereotypical behavior. Asperger’s syndrome is a type of autism spectrum disorder with autistic manifestations. Children with the disorder will show impaired social interaction and communication skills, such as having few facial expressions and not expecting hugs or caresses from parents or others. They may also have narrowed interests, stereotyped movements and behaviors, be uninterested in activities, toys or games enjoyed by normal children, enjoy inanimate objects such as bottle caps and scrap wire, and love to watch rotating fans and flowing water for long periods of time. Children with symptoms of Asperger’s syndrome are advised to go to the hospital as soon as possible and under the guidance of a specialized doctor to undergo relevant examinations to confirm the diagnosis of the disease and give targeted treatment.
