High Survival and Low Damage Fat Grafting

Autologous fat transfer is one of the safest and longest lasting cosmetic methods, although most methods of autologous fat transfer still have problems such as low survival rates and the need for secondary replenishment, causing inconvenience to both doctors and aestheticians. Coleman fat grafting technology was proposed by American fat grafting expert, Professor Sydney R. Coleman, and the book series “Coleman Fat Injection – From Filling to Regeneration” published by Sydney R. Coleman is recognized by the medical community as the international fat masterpiece, and its method and theory are internationally defined as the “gold standard” of fat grafting. “. At present, after systematic study of Coleman fat injection and through a lot of clinical practice and research, fat transplantation specialists in China have widely applied this classic procedure to facial and body contouring. Coleman fat grafting can be used for skin texture improvement, post-burn scar repair, structural fat grafting in post-radiotherapy tissues, first and second time fat grafting to reshape the aging face, fat grafting combined with MACS face lift and facial contour reshaping, etc., among which the most used are facial contour reshaping and fat grafting to reshape the aging face. Coleman fat transfer technique can be divided into minimally invasive liposuction, moderate purification, and survival transfer. The following are the characteristics of Coleman fat grafting: Coleman fat grafting can achieve high survival rate and low damage because of its injection method. The key to fat grafting is to maximize the contact area between the transplanted fat tissue and the recipient tissue, and to maximize the contact area between the fat and the original tissue. 2, micro-injection Injection of a mass of fat will make the transplanted fat too far away from the tissue with blood supply, so that the fat does not get effective nutrition and respiration, thus causing necrosis or absorption of fat in the uncontacted area, which may lead to unevenness. For example, the injection volume for the face is 1/10ml at a time, and even less around the eyes. 3. Retract the needle for injection Enter through the tiny incision where the anesthetic drug is injected, penetrate the appropriate level under the skin, and start to retract for injection when the fat injection tube is in the desired position. With the retraction of the fat injection tube the position that was propped up retracts to just cover the fat injected in. 4. Uniform injection The injection of a small amount of fat above each point of each injection channel is the key to successful structural fat grafting. The purpose is for the fat particles to be supplied with blood from the surrounding capillaries. 5.Blunt needle injection Does not cut the tissue, unlike sharp needle, the pointed fat injection tube enters to directly destroy the original tissue, while the blunt needle fat injection tube advances, it just naturally separates the tissue to avoid damaging the subcutaneous tissue structure. When retracting, it wraps the fat tissue to make the growth of fat more stable. 6.Structural fat injection A small amount of injected fat particles in the recipient area tissues will be back better to get a shaping to change its shape. If the transplanted fat tissue of each channel can be combined with the tissue of the recipient area, then increasing the puncture channels can change the shape within the tissue of the recipient area. Repeated punctures with sharp needles destroy the structural integrity of the original tissue and do not change the shape of the tissue. Coleman fat grafting provides a new idea to fat grafting technology and effectively solves the problems of high damage and low survival rate of fat by common techniques. Moreover, Coleman fat grafting does not require pressure afterwards. This set of scientific injection methods not only saves a lot of injection costs for the aestheticians, but also achieves good post-operative results.
