How long does it take for an ovary to age after removal

Ovaries are an important organ for women. Without symptomatic treatment after ovarian removal, menopause can usually appear within 1-2 months, but it does not mean aging. The ovaries have reproductive and endocrine functions, secreting estrogen and progesterone to maintain the balance and stability of sex hormones in the body. Ovaries are usually removed due to ovarian tumors, uterine malignancies and cervical malignancies. After bilateral oophorectomy, estrogen and progesterone in the body will rapidly decrease to very low levels. If estrogen is not replenished in time, patients will experience menopausal symptoms within 1-2 months and their female characteristics may disappear rapidly, but it is not equivalent to aging. Patients usually need to do endocrine replacement therapy after surgery, timely supplementation of estrogen, regular rechecking of hormone levels, and dose adjustment according to the test results to maintain the balance and stability of sex hormone levels.
